Eastport Financial is seeking a dynamic individual to fill a combined role of Office and Project Manager. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our office as well as the successful execution of various projects, particularly those related to our philanthropic and community endeavors.

Shami moved to Halifax from Sri Lanka and she loves working at Eastport. Often the first point of contact with our clients, Shami makes people feel welcome while serving as Executive Assistant to Jonathan.

Jonathan had his official book launch of his 2nd book More Than Money at the Souls Harbour Mission Mart. 100% of the proceeds of the book go to the foundation which benefits all the amazing organizations we support.

A man of many talents, Jonathan Lewis holds the titles of developer, multi-business owner, professional advisor, and author. However, it is the qualitative side of his life that he values most. As the husband of Sara Lewis and as the father of their two young daughters, Jonathan places his family above all else and works to assist other families who lack the resources they have. As the founder of Eastport Financial and as the author of Deep Water: How to Face Fatherlessness, Jonathan’s faith in God is at the center of who he is. He strives to live out his faith daily as a husband, father and leader in the business community.

In our desire to continue to enhance our services to our clients MATT JENKINSON has joined our firm as the Chief Operating Officer.

Matt was born and raised in Somerset West, South Africa. He attended Brevard Community College and Southeastern University in Lakeland Florida as a college golf athlete and graduated with a BSc in Finance, magna cum laude. Matt is also a CFA Charterholder.

The Bible says that all fatherhood comes from God (Ephesians 3:14-15). But so many sons on earth endure fallible, absentee fathers who fail to provide direction, counsel, encouragement, or love. Many sons also lose nurturing fathers in tragedy, so they, too, are left without guidance.

Jonathan was delighted to have the opportunity to be a guest speaker at Fox Harbour for the Advocis Atlantic School this week where advisors come together to sharpen their skills and share knowledge.

Jonathan recently completed his Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA) designation. The Certified Kingdom Advisor is a principled class of Christian financial advisors who have been trained in providing biblically wise financial advice to men and women seeking biblically wise financial counsel. Jonathan recently visited the New York Stock Exchange with the Kingdom Advisors and had a chance to pose under the bell.

Jonathan D.W. Lewis has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by Progress magazine, which recognized select entrepreneurs in the Atlantic Canadian economy. Lewis is a IO-year member from Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Jonathan Lewis had the chance to share his story and thoughts with other advisors yesterday in Toronto at the annual Canadian Kingdom Advisors Conference. In the presentation on “Living a life of purpose on purpose” Jonathan talked openly and honestly about faith, finance and the obligation advisors have surrounding stewardship and money management with our clients.

He was at the top of his game, living what looked like the perfect life. Wife, children, large house, successful business, financial prosperity and a happy smile. Everyone wanted to be him, except him.
