Executive Assistant
After studying sociology and psychology at a Christian university, Alli began working in the non-profit field with an interest in human and social services and a keen motivation to build a life of service.
“I wanted to feel like I was working with the kingdom,” she says, and helping the helpers became Alli’s mission. She began working at a law firm as a paralegal that supports church ministries, but after a few years she met Eastport founder Jonathan Lewis at a conference and was inspired.
“Being a paralegal is a lot of administrative work – what keeps projects and services moving forward. I enjoyed keeping projects and services on-track, but by working with Eastport I get to contribute to Fathers for Fathers as well, and to have my work be biblically inspired. It's such a good fit.”
As Alli explains, the Eastport crew cares about the bottom line, but also about moving people’s hearts and souls—the same drive she brings to her volunteer work with the children and women’s ministry at her church.
“It feels very wholesome to have my work reflect my personal convictions,” she says. “Every day I get up and say, Yes—my work is having an impact that is going to last.”
